About

What Moodify is

Moodify is a free Android app for mental wellbeing. It brings together mood tracking, an AI chat companion, a journal, guided soundscapes and standardised self-check questionnaires, so you can record how you are feeling and see what changes over weeks rather than trying to remember. It is made by Moodify.fit, an independent team based in India, and published on Google Play as Moodify.Fit. Every feature is currently free, and the audio library is not behind a paywall. Moodify is not therapy and it is not an emergency service.

Why it exists

Most people can tell you they had a bad week. Far fewer can tell you which days were worst, what came before them, or what actually helped — because memory reconstructs moods rather than storing them, and it reconstructs them badly. Fifteen seconds of logging a day turns that into something you can look at.

The rest of the app exists because noticing a pattern is not much use on its own. If your worst days follow short nights, the soundscapes are there. If a thought keeps circling, the journal and the chat are there. The point is to shorten the distance between noticing something and doing something about it.

What it is not

Moodify does not diagnose anything. The self-check questionnaires it includes are screeners used in clinical settings, and a screener can tell you whether something is worth raising with a professional — it cannot tell you what you have.

The AI companion is not a therapist and will say so. It has no training in your history, it is not supervised care, and it is not a substitute for talking to a person. It is useful at 2am, which is when most people have nobody to talk to.

Moodify is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, the lines at the bottom of this page are free and open around the clock.

Who writes what is on this site

The guides on this site are written and edited by The Moodify.fit editorial team. They are not written by a clinician, and nothing here is medical advice. We would rather say that plainly than imply a qualification we do not have.

Where a guide makes a factual claim about mental health, it links to the primary source it came from — a study, or a public health body such as the World Health Organization or the US National Institute of Mental Health — so you can check it rather than take our word for it.

Every guide shows when it was published and when it was last reviewed. Our editorial policy sets out how they are written and corrected.

Common questions

What is Moodify?

Moodify is a free Android app for mental wellbeing. It combines mood tracking, an AI chat companion, a journal, guided soundscapes and standardised self-check questionnaires in one place, so you can log how you feel and see patterns over time.

Is Moodify free?

Yes. Every feature is currently free, including the AI chat, the soundscapes and the self-checks. The audio library and meditations are not behind a paywall and are not planned to be.

Does Moodify replace therapy?

No. Moodify is not therapy and its AI companion is not a therapist. It is a self-help tool for noticing patterns and getting support between appointments, or when professional help is not available. It cannot diagnose a condition and it is not an emergency service.

What can you track in Moodify?

Mood, sleep, water intake, menstrual cycle, blood pressure and blood glucose. You turn on only what you want to follow. The point of tracking several is that physical patterns and mood patterns often turn out to be related.

Who makes Moodify?

Moodify is made by Moodify.fit, an independent team based in India, and published on Google Play as Moodify.Fit. It is not a service of a clinic or hospital.

What platforms is Moodify available on?

Moodify is available on Android through the Google Play Store. There is no iOS version yet.
